In my dream:

I was in college and working for a professor. There was a Pakistani woman who shared a psychology class with me, and was a student of the professor I worked for. My parents came to visit, and she was somehow in the hotel room with us. I talked with my brother about this in another room in the same hotel. Then, she and I were in a car, both passengers, on the way to class. Outside the classroom, she was a nun. She held me closely and beseeched me to come with her to church. I told her I had to get to class, but would go with her afterwards.

This was as Venus conjuncted my natal Jupiter, while trining to Mars.

"youre dreaming about your issues with muslim people is all"

Thanks for your input. Unfortunately, I have no issues with muslim people. I saw it more as the Venus conjunct Jupiter symbolism -- university, foreigner, religious symbolism, the woman spirit guide ... I would like to know what she was trying to tell me.

Synerge I think the next time you’re going to decide what the absolute right answer is to an interpretive subject you should hold off until every one has had a turn or maybe you should just keep it to yourself that way you can stay the smartest of us all. As for the dream I don’t have an interpretation but I do think that Kalsang made a good point about the two of you driving in the same car

It is often assumed in classical Jungian texts that when one dreams of a person of colour, of the same gender, to whom one is close, that dream character represents the shadow. If you have a Pakistani friend in real life, that would not be my preferred angle, but if you don't then it is worth considering. Especially since you are both students of the same professor, and both driving in the same car. Interestingly she's a nun and religious. I think if I were you, I might wonder about aspects of my sexuality and spirituality and how I combine them or what aspects of them are in my shadow. I might also look at what I am putting off integrating until later.
Voila, that's just what I would do. In respect of the other response to your post, I certainly would discourage anyone from making a categorical interpretation of anyone else's dream. And I think such an interpretation reflects the projections of the pêrson who made it, and no more.

That's you. I don't judge anyone by such externalities. I love or not based purely on personal feelings of attraction/attachment/attunement.

Isn't that how Freud and Jung ended up not speaking to each other? Jung didn't agree with Freud's interpretations of his dreams, and they eventually stopped talking altogether? Kind of interesting to consider.

This feels right. She seemed more a shadow figure than a real human, always with me, mostly silently (though she was not in the room where I spoke of her with my brother, perhaps because she was, through my speaking?) Perhaps she was calling me to a more direct experience of the spirit, rather than the intellectual studying?
