From Yeats to Dr. Suess to you own meaningful creations, we'd love you post and comment on poetry that inspires you, makes sense to you, and/or gives you something to think about. We don't mind experimental, but keep it real, please -- we'd like to be able to find the meaning and beauty that's there without having to sift through too much weird stuff.

The Official Welcome:

Hello and welcome to Just Poetry. We are happy you have joined our tribe.

Here are some things that might be helpful for you in getting to know us.

1. Please, be kind. Honest and differing opinions are welcome, of course, but give them civilly and with love. Poets are sensitive people, after all.

2. We do have poets here, and they will, I hope, post their own creations here from time to time. Please take time to read their poems and make comments. Some of them may ask for critiques, in which case please help them out by giving them honest opinions. If they don't ask for a critique, say something nice, please. But please say something in either case.

3. While the occasional expletive or strong descriptive word is understandable in the art of poetry, we do ask that our poets and readers refrain from extensive profanity or pornographic references or images.

4. Please contact me if you have any problems with the site or if you have any other concerns or questions. Again, welcome! We are eager to hear what you have to offer.
