...it's starting to look like K will still be in the hospital (same one she's been in most of 2008) awhile, and as of tonight her morale's not so great; some visitors would be most welcome, as would Nice Smells (nausea is one of her biggest problems these days). You can contact me for the room # if you think you might have time to swing on by.

She was in the hospital for about seven weeks, then out, with occasional trips back when home health care nurses screwed something up, then back in for nutritional and infection issues, then last Friday she was released but by Saturday night she needed to go back again. So now she's been in for another week or so, and for most of that time we all thought she was about to be released, but the longer she's in the hospital on any occasion, the greater the chance of infections from the IV equipment, and yesterday it seemed one of her IV Borg implant things was misbehaving pretty badly. I didn't get much in the way of details because she was too nauseous and tired to talk much, so we just spent the evening sitting around quietly not being quite as lonely.

On the positive side, her wound is still healing, and as soon as that's done a lot of things should get much better.

K can talk on the phone but usually doesn't feel like it.
