In this workshop we will explore the basics of music theory and how use that knowledge to become a more expressive tribal style dancer. Students will learn how to add emotion and drama to tribal style by working with and understanding different types of music and Middle Eastern rhythms.

For the last hour, we will work with a live drummer and students will learn how to communicate with a drummer in both solo and group improv situations.
