Charles de Gaulle - "The better I get to know men, the more I find myself loving dogs."

.... but what's with all the humping? No distinguishing men from dogs there. .... well, maybe

<trying to think if I've had my leg dry-humped...>

One of my heroes, Diogenes the Cynic, admired dogs for their honesty and often referred to himself as a dog.

This is great. Haven't read the whole thing, just jumped to the quotes. Love these:

"Man is the most intelligent of the animals -- and the most silly."

"What I like to drink most is wine that belongs to others."

"Blushing is the color of virtue."

"I do not know whether there are gods, but there ought to be."
