Katerina, professional custom clothier (for over 15 years) and bellydancer, will show you how to make a complete dance bra and belt set of superior quality and style, for much less than the cost of an imported costume.

She will take you through the entire process, giving you the tips and tricks of the trade, enabling you to make your own unique, one-of-a-kind costumes. If you can thread a needle, you can make your own unique and beautiful bellydance costume, too!

Limited only by your imagination, your hand-made creation will be a work of art; yet will hold up to performance after performance – and always with a perfect fit!

*********************

You MUST pre-register for this workshop; space is limited for the benefit of personalized instruction. Payment may be made in 2 installments for your convenience, by check or Paypal - $60, by July 10th, and $60 by August 10th, which are non-refundable.

If you wish to join us, please register ASAP, as you will be receiving a packet and list of what to bring along. This is a hands-on, intensive workshop; you will be required to bring all the materials necessary to make most of a complete bra and belt set. Cost of materials will vary by individual, of course, but a rough estimate of what the necessary items for the workshop might run, could be as little as $50.

  • Hi! So space is limited because you want to be able to interact individually with each attendee. How many people will your workshop hold? For instance, if we were to host a workshop, obviously the more people we get, the cheaper it should be EXCEPT for the fact you want to keep it smaller it sounds like? Just wondering what kind of support we would need to get you to come to MINNEAPOLIS!
    • Well, I don't think too many people over 15 would be fair to the attendees, but if there were many more who wanted to attend, we'd just extend it another day. This workshop is intended to be one 8 hour day, so it could be two 8 hr days, or split over a weekend it could be two morning sessions and two afternoons. The other limiting factor in terms of cost would be facility rent (if any), and travel.
  • Katerina, are you willing to do anyting privately? I would love to come to your workshop in CT but my mother bought me tickets for the India.Irie concert in CA (the concert is Aug. 19th). You can send me a private message or email me at naimashimmy AT yahoo DOT com.
    • I have the same question! I live in New Haven, but I'm away for the summer and not getting back until August 30. (Damn, damn.) Is there a chance for a second workshop, or something of the kind? Let me know.
      • Yes, I've gotten several requests for privates or second runs. Just tell me what dates you have in mind as I'll see what I can accommodate. It would be preferable to have small groups, even 2 or 3 at a minimum, so that you can see other types, styles of costumes being made, and see what other problems or issues can occur, so you'll see how to handle them. It's just a better learning experience.

If you have a specific date in mind, PM me and we can set something up.
