Lipo In A Box

Ima sucka for advertising - when Ive thought something through and the product seems like a good one. I saw this company on Oprah (doesnt everyone tell time by what time thier tv programs come on?) and I really like them. I was feeling fat that day and instead of sit ups, I bought a girdle. I havent tried it on yet, but it was very well made.

Then I joined a gym.

But I keep seeing dancers in the wrong size bra and they dont want to wear anything with a band around the base of the bra (the part that actually holds someone up)- Im talking about the larger breasted ladies out there. I have nothing to hold up, so it doesnt matter - I have to pad my bra out to look like curvy.

I saw this bra on the website and I like that they talk about sizing and tell you how to measure. Just thought I would pass this info along.

I also like the Goddess line.

A couple of thier bras could be modified a bit to look sexier. I think this link may direct you to where they can be purchased as opposed to buying them from thier site ( could be wrong - didnt investigate too thoroughly)
I used to purchase thier merry widows and bras for a theatre company that I worked for and I swear by them. They are not as beautiful as some of the other lines of bras, but like I said, they can be modified and they will hold those girls up!

I meant to add that it doesnt matter if the bra is pretty when you purchase it because you are lining it and stabilizing the inside and covering and embellishing it - and the straps. Correct??????

A dance bra should never look like it just walked off the rack and out the door.

This book tells you how to do it!

I didnt mean to sound bitchy, its just that there is still this stigma and misconception in certain places about being a bellydancer. When we walk onstage in our underwear, it should look like part of a finished cohesive costume, tell the story we are trying to tell, and not read "underwear". Esp. when you dont wear a choli under it.

Bras can be very frustrating! I gained a bunch of weight and I cant wear my old bras anymore. I have to go in now and spend time finding some good ones - even though Im probably no more than a B cup. And then when/if I lose some weight, those bras wont fit anymore!

shrug, you didn't sound bitchy to me, i totally get you. one reason why i am not spending time or money on fancy dance bras right now, i just fluctuate size too much. i'd need ten sigh. thank god for sports bras and melo twist tops. its all so frustrating. and dont get me started on the victoria secrets bimbo rant. ugh

I want some brilliant scientist somewhere to invent a "Smart Bra" out of some crazy technofabric like that stuff that Batman uses in his cape...you know, you select a shape for it and a tiny electrical current goes through it and the fabric forms to a different shape and size...you could wear the same bra every day, and no matter how much bigger or smaller you are, the bra would form to your body and give you the perfect amount of cleave. You could select a "push up" style, or a strapless function, the smaller girls could ad a little extra 'mass' in the cups, and the bigger gals will have straps that change shape and size to distribute the weight properly...

Le sigh...come on science...invent something for the ladies!!! Oh, and if the Smartbra could somehow also provide cold beer on demand, that would be awesome.

              Heh, heh. :} I think that someone will probably invent the beer dispensing bra long before they ever get to the SmartBra. Necessities. You know. ;}

                Nice Link! Thanks!

I saw something on tv a while back about this bra that was being invented that can detect if you are being stalked by someone. I wasnt quite sure how they were going to make that work since probably only a handful of women would actually be able to wear it!

                le sigh for sure!

How would the bra alert you to a stalker detection? Squeeze tighter? Oooo! I hope someone stalks me!

Wait, no. Can they change that to a flirt detection?

Thats funny! I have no idea how this could work! Sounds problematic to me!

                    LOL!

Sandi, that's something I could use. I am clueless when flirting is happening.

omg i love you i will so be in line for the batman smart bra!!!!!!!!!! i can tell you now this will never freakin happen though we will have science provide us with a billion ways for old men to keep it up and men in general to "make it bigger": men, grr. (sorry pms, sigh which means today the girls are screaming don't touch me, no bra, sigh)

Well, off I went to go get myself re measured, as its been about 18 months at least...

After all those hours customising bellydance bras, found out that Im now a 32F instead of 36DD and makes total sense why been getting back ache, can't believe what it does for my figure, they are lifted much higher and really neat & compact!!

Now what to do with those bras?

big sale??? lol. good luck sweety.

sigh i have to go bra shopping latter today. a friend is getting married next month and we both have strapless dresses (i am maid of honor). not real excited about it. after all to me if i am going to invest ina bra, i'd just a soon get a super comfortable wear with anything bra. not a strapless. i have never found a strapless i truly liked and cared to have on more than an hour. maybe i will find one i can fall in love with. sigh.

I always like to joke i know victoria's secret she don't have my size!!!
But then most stores don't and i'm always nervous about ordering bras off online stores cause not all bras fit the same.
And the bra sales ladies always say But we have the sister size it's the same thing...
Iz not! I'm a 32DD they they try to give me a 34D but the 34s always get loose quick and don't fit arrrrrgh bra shopping can be a pain
of couse the worst part is when i do lose weight it's back fat....side fat etc so smaller around but same cup size oy vey
just thought i'd vent a bit , sorry for raving but when it comes to braz argh

ugh wish i coulda found one, but money and time was a bit of an issue. needed something by this friday at the latest for my fitting. got a shitty strapless i hate. oh goody. it's horribly uncomfortable and i will be counting the minutes till i can rip it off. then i will promptly never ever where it again. but alas it was the only 32 b in the whole damn town i could find. so 30 dollars latter i am wonderfully unhappy. but do you know a good, reasonably priced corset dealer? i have a few days till the fitting and could return it. though i do prefer being able to try things on.

Im in the UK hun, Ive got some beautiful ones but from UK shops here, EBAY is really good for finding corsets, and Ive bought a few off there, go for the steel boned kind as they give the best results, sorry you ended up getting a strappless you don't like, but hopefully it will make you look great with the dress on a positive side :-) x
