Here is what I wrote:
I understand your question as I get this question all the time in regard to style and fashion. People who are not of "model" stature think they cant wear plaids or ruffles or big full gowns or bell bottoms. But the answer to your question is that I believe that its all about proportion. I make custom clothing and costumes for all body types. I take thier measurements and build something around those measurements - not just off a pattern and hope the cliant likes it.

I would take your height and build into consideration and make the pattern to fit you. The ruffles would start on you where they would start on a taller person. The way they are put together would be constructed so that there is more or less space between the ruffle and the ruffles would be a bit shorter on you than say, a tall person.

Also, if you look at how tall people were back past 100 years or so - if you look at how tall women were in those big huge hoop skirts and paniers .........they were itty bitty for the most part and your height was fairly normal. And they looked hot in those outfits!

So,,,,,,in answer to your questions...............yes, you can look great in these and take advantage of the cheap custom labor now because it wont last forever!!!!!!!!!
