Kazüm's going on the Chatauqua Tour this summer! So exciting!
This summer, the New Old Time Chautauqua sails the Salish Sea with a flotilla of nine boats chock full of entertainers, educators, boat captains, crew and support staff. Setting sail from Port Townsend on July 20, the journey will continue on to Lopez, Waldron and Lummi Islands, Bellingham, Langley and, finally Port Gamble. Partnering with local non-profit organizations, Chautauqua will help raise money for their worthwhile projects. This year’s focus is on Youth Education, Sustainability and Land Stewardship. Our Parades, Workshops and Shows will bring folks together to celebrate Community!
Seven boats, seven captains, crew, sailors-including ten Puget Sound Explorer youth-are from Port Townsend and the greater Jefferson County, WA. Chautauquans are from all across the United States and as far away as Germany. What an adventure -- Chautauquans are excited to be on the water, and Boat Folks are looking forward to running away with the circus!
