...Miss Amara, on applying Eye Kandy? Do you like the brush that comes in it? Do you use other ones? Do you wet the brush first before dipping into the Liquid Sugar? What other mediums could be used besides Liquid Sugar? Any advice on this, my dear?
Thanks!

Re: What's your advice...
Fri, May 23, 2008 - 3:04 PMI'm not Amara, but I actually don't use the brush that comes with the kit. I use a nice soft eyeshadow brush for shadow applications and an angled edge brush for liner applications. I dip the dry brush in Liquid Sugar, tap off the excess so my brush is damp and not saturated, and then dip that into the eye kandy. I usually paint it on with short strokes until I get the desired amount of shadow on as glitter, redampening as needed. If I want a glitter liner alone or atop the glitter shadow, I do the same process with the angle brush except that I'm drawing a series of short lines and connecting them to make the line rather than painting it on. I get better coverage that way. I only use Liquid Sugar because nothing else holds as well and keeps glitter in place despite 13 hour work shifts or torrential sweating when dancing. :) When I'm finished with glitter, I rinse my brushes in plain water, reshape them and let them dry. -

Re: What's your advice...
Mon, May 26, 2008 - 6:16 AMThanks, Qamar. I have several colors of Eye Kandy and don't use it as often as I'd like because it's a struggle to get the results I see in other people's photos. After reading your post, I think maybe I'm getting my brush too wet. I'll have to give your method a try.
