  • ha ha! then you dont want to live in or around the market!!!
    • sigggh your prolly right... i dont mind silverfish too much... and a couple roaches would be ok... but city rats are pretttty sick..

Oh well... looking for a smaller place now and it wont lemme delete or edit the original thread posting.. ohhh well
      • Don't know if you're still looking to get into the market or not.

I just moved into the market, and I can say there is a lot of competition, and despite the roaches, lots of people want them.

There is a place just north of Essense of Life on Kensington Road that is actually a rental office (like just across the alley, then the second door). They often post places for rent around your description on the door outside.

They're the same people I rent from. It's a haphazard bizzare experience (run by a senile 85-year-old man who still tries to micromanage and is cheap as all hell). Still, they've been pretty good to me, especially Vezna 9(sp?), the woman who runs the place.

        Good luck
        • Oh, and I've seen about 6 roaches in the 2 months I've been here. Not like I liked seeing them, but if you keep your food away and the dishes clean (in a place that doesn't have a problem already, you'll probably be fine. Far from hearing them crawling around every time you turn off the lights.
          • Ahhh that sounds like a handy (and fun) place to check out... thanx so much :)

My grandpa used to live around broadview and queen... and his place had TONS...we used to trap them in these little paint containers as kids... icky, but we were curious.

            *shudders*

So its alright to have a couple scurry across the floor or something infrequently... but I get shivers up my spine thinking of seeing them often.
