first leuven bellydance festival - met khalida

Because We Care is a smashing Belly Dance Show with Artemisia & Troupe, the students of dance school (e)motion, Beatrice Curtis (UK), Khalida (Bellydancer of the World 2007), La Mezcla (Nl), Ishani (B), Charlotte Desorgher (Founder of Hipsinc, UK) & Razia (USA).

I asked a few dance friends to help me out with this show in celebration of 5 years of dance school (e)motion, and they all wanted to come and dance, and teach, and so, almost by accident, suddenly i had a real show on my hands, so the idea of a festival was born!!!

It will be a great mix of classical, egyptian, american, tribal, ATS, folklore... so, what are you waiting for? Buy a ticket, support Just Because, grab a seat, and enjoy the show!

Show on friday 16th january 20.00h, Minnepoort, Tickets 8 € in pre-sale.
All proceeds to www.justbecause.org.uk, a charity for breast cancer prevention in Egypt, a worthy cause for a bunch of bellydancers!!! all the performers in the show have donated their performance for the cause, please donate generously as well.

Workshops

We have found a venue for workshops, so on saturday and sunday, you will be able to choose from no less than 14 workshops with your favourite dancers from the show, more info VERY VERY soon, workshop topics, prices, enrolment info etc,

khalida will be teaching isis wings, and her great shimmy workshop, other topics by our guest teachers include; tribal fusion combinations, shimmies, isis wings, drum solo, american tribal style, veil, arabic for bellydancers, costume making, egyptian styling, american cabaret choreography, traveling steps, combinations and more!!!

    the workshop shedule is available now, in a few days time you will be able to enroll via the website, but just so as you can start the hard job of chooosing!

    all workshops are two hours and cost only 20€! (except arabic, one hour, 10€)..
    we wanted to make this as affordable as possible, max 20 people per class, so dont wait to enroll!
