So...here's my question. When you are getting beset from all angles, and you have a ton of non-dance work or obligations pounding on your door...
how do you give dance the time it deserves?
For example, my work is extremely stressful and demanding during February-April, and I almost always end up giving up dance during this time - at least somewhat. Add in some personal issues, moving out of my home, finding a new home, etc, and it seemed like there wasn't time for working out, dancing, yoga, or even sleeping.
What do you do?

Re: Time Budgeting
Fri, April 25, 2008 - 4:15 PMi know what you mean.
i usually have to schedule it in before everything else happens to me. this involves crawling out of bed at 6:00 AM, doing a dance practice til 6;30, then get the husband up and go back in the dance space for another 20 minutes or so until the shower is free. then, i rush to get my clothes on, the lunch packed at get to work by 8;30. it can be a bit of a whirlwind but it is done for the day. if i don't do a practice i have to use the holla hoop for at least 15-20 minutes. if i find myself sleeping in to snuggle with my husband rather than the practice, i forgive myself and enjoy a good snuggle.
so in a nutshell, try to schedule it in and forgive yourself when you can't.
