I'd like to give everyone some killer money, but I need an excuse to do so. The whole idea is that we start an internal economy making it possible to hire hitmen and bodygaurds, as well as extort people and pay them off for information. Sounds nice right?
The catch. I have no excusses of why I would be giving out money. Can anyone help me create a working economic system for this game. Also bear in mind that printing full color money is costly so the denomenations will be limited and I might as for a small contribution for playing the game to cover production costs.

Wed, June 13, 2007 - 5:29 PMWell the obvious reason is that a sick billionaire intent on setting a bunch of people on killing each other! Rewards for kills are a basic way to earn money, but reports with style and entertainment that tickle your billionaire fancy would be worth a higher bounty. The only issue would be that services/weapons available for the "money" are useful enough that people don't horde cash and upset the economy. This brings up a question I have regarding body guards and self defense. If someone were to make an attempt on my life, and miss, and then I should happen to return fire and hit them, what are the rules surrounding this sort of encounter? Do they get incapacitated and are able to make another attempt on another day? Are they eliminated? The first option sounds more fun, but might drag the game out longer. -

How about if you kill them their out for 1 day and get a second attempt. If they die again their out till next round? -

Thu, June 14, 2007 - 6:01 PMThat sounds good, but also sorta makes them "safe" for the rest of the round because there's no way they'll end up as someone's target. Which gives them a much greater chance of winning. But I suppose everyone has the same chance of catching their would-be killer as long as the come strapped in public. -
