The Kootenay Bellydance Umbrella is here to provide a comprehensive guide to classes, workshops, performances and events related to Bellydance (Middle Eastern dance, raqs sharqi, oryantal dansı, raqs baladi, raqs shaabi, etc), American Tribal dance, Goddess/interpretive dance and Indian dance in the Kootenays. Here instructors and performers can advertise, and students, potential students and clients are supplied with directory and schedule information. The hope is that this tribe will provide a platform for communication, consultation and cooperation between dancers and dance styles. Further, instructors are invited to initiate discussion and respond to students' queries.
