Re: Kitchen
Thu, July 27, 2006 - 12:17 PMI would personally like to do a couple shared meals, but some don't want that so we may just informally organize this. But I do like to have hot meals waiting at the end of some long days. -

Re: Kitchen
Thu, July 27, 2006 - 2:58 PMyep - i'm one of the people against a fancy kitchen and group dinners, unless we can hire someone to cook and clean for us. also to cut costs. and i know i'm really picky about food, so i don't want to depend on other people's food choices, but i don't want to organize camp food.
i've got two camp stoves i can bring. one runs on propane canisters, the other on propane/butane canisters.
would be good to have 2 or 3 more stoves and a portable propane grill if y'all want to get gourmet. any other campers out there with stoves to share?
could use a couple of bus pans for dishes if y'all want to get fancy. i'm fine with a rinse & dry with a dish towel. plus, the bus pan water gets really manky really fast. but the bus pan method is good if you're worried about germs - one pan for rinsing, one for soaping, one for disinfecting w/bleach.
a folding table or two to hold it all.
everyone bring your own cooking implements & silverware & plates & utensils & such.
how about a couple of potluck din-dins - everyone brings enough to share and is responisible for their own clean up.
if y'all decide you really want to do group dinners, can we make it optional?
scribe - you're more than welcome to cook for us at the end of a long day...and you'll be well rewarded ;0 -

Thu, July 27, 2006 - 3:32 PMYeah, I think we're all on the same page. Eating together a few times would be nice, but let's keep it simply and potlucky. Except, of course, for the fabulous meal that I'm planning for Mary so I can get my reward. -

Re: Kitchen
Fri, August 4, 2006 - 10:39 PMI've got a small propane BBQ. No group meals. If you are around and capable of eating and there are others in the same state, then you can call it a group meal (just cook your own shizzle)...
