Lets hold off on buying scaffolding until I finally get in touch with my general contractor friend.

we've been playing phone tag for the past week.

and then there was the ether, the only thing that really scared me...

okAY WE CAN RENT OUR SCAFFOLDING FROM UNITED RENTALS IN RENO. THEY SAID WE DON'T NEED TO RESERVE AND THEY KNOW WE'RE TAKING IT TO BM. FOR FOUR TOWERS OF 5' DEEP 10' ACROSS AND 13' HIGH THE TWO OUTER TOWERS WILL HAVE GUARD RAIL FOR TEN DAYS OF RENTAL, IT'S 442.96. wE NEED A CREDIT CARD AND AN ID ON THE DAY OF PICK UP. i FOUND MUSLIN FOR 2.40/YARD IT'S 5' WIDE FOR THE FACADE...SHOULD I BUY IT? I CAN START SEWING THE PIECES TOGETHER AND PUT GROMITS ALOTN THE SIDES AND TOP TO ATTACH TO THE SCAFFOLDING.

That's a bit over budget, but still maybe doable. Let's wait a couple days under Mouk is back and can check with those other sites she listed to make sure we can't get it cheaper. But way to go, Splinter. You have my vote for Ku De Ta MVP.

I just called them and it's more like $1285.00 the saffold frames are 5' tall, so it will take three up and four across @ 22 per scaffold ~ four towers is 24 frames, which is 528 or we could make one big wall that would be $330. that was what he quoted when i gave the dimensions, it's cheaper if we make one big wall, but it's still expensive. i also figured out that the ppl i got my quote from also charge per week, no fractions, so my quote needs to be reworked. I"ll squeeze in some phone time tomorrow...if you can help Maria that would rock. find out the frame's & cross bar / week and what their policy is on partial weeks. @ 15' is cool, if we can only do 13'2" thats fine also. i apologize for the scatter brain message but you get the point.

                  okay

                  scored potentially our best deal

                  3 towers for 250
                  or 4
                  for around 380

                  can pick up in reno
                  on the way
with a 500 refundable deposit (upon return- hold on card)

I think that the 380 is pretty much within our budget, we should get 4 towers...anybody else have an opinion? I say we do it.

OK, we have a problem. Brand Scaffolding (the $380 quote) isn't open weekends and closes Friday at 4, so we're fucked there. Reno Rents is open Saturdays, but the quote I got was $581. I told them I'd call them back.
