Yes Yes Fam! We're back in NYC after an epic run up and down the west coast over the last few weeks. From the verdant sonic blauww!! of the Shambhala Music Festival to a proper family style bass bomb with our bredren crew, Surya Dub, in San Francisco (big up Maneesh the Twister, Kush Arora, Kid Kameleon, Ripley, roommate and all), and wrapping up most recently with a relentless and inspiring romp on the Burning Man Playa, we're back in the Apple (check www.myspace.com/subswara in the near for pics, blogs, blurbs and blidgets), new and improved with big 'tings lined up for our 2nd Birthday. We're celebrating our 2nd birthday with new beginnings and round 2 of an epic East-West Coast soundclash! After a year at Element, we're thrilled to bits to be bringing Sub Swara to our new home and the most killer club soundsystem in New York City - LOVE (go to www.musicislove.net for limited advance discount tickets! ).

This one will be the 2nd coming of our bredren, the Glitch Mob and it's going to be another epic face-off. In the home corner, the Sub Swara posse weighs in with the hard-hitting trio of Dhruva, Sunder, and Haj, heavy-weight MC Juakali and Pictureman & Skip Intro on visual attack. 'Lo FreQuencY High Vibration Culture' laced with live dubbed tablas, turntablism, Ragga vocals, and deep visual mixology. A barrage of genre defying sonics spanning crushing breaks, chubby dubstep, nasty grime, mid-tempo glitch, digi-dancehall, and much more big speaker biz. The SS crew has a grip of new tunes of the studio desk to drop on ya'll!

In the visitors corner The Glitch Mob comes out swinging, as individual superstars edIT and Boretta join forces. These boys have been straight tearing up the circuit with their crunked-out glitch-injected hip-hop & lush IDM. Look out for edIT's highly anticipated new album Certified Air Raid Material, out on Alpha Pup Records later this year.

Also appearing to open up the night will be special guest DJ Amar, from Electric Vardo SF.

New venue, new (improved) soundsystem, new choonz, the Mob, 'nuff said....

About Kush Arora

One of the closest bredren in the extended Sub Swara family, Kush Arora makes his much anticipated NYC debut at Sub Swara 018. His new album, From Brooklyn to SF, is set to blow minds across the globe. It is a journey through Dread Bass, dub/dubstep, hip hop and desi inflected digi dancehall , featuring several of the most adventurous vocalists and musicians in North America.
