Greetings and Salutations, how do you fare?

The show is all ages and several families come each year, I tend to recommend that people be a little judicious in those who are attending. This is truly a show for those who have dreamt of losing themselves in a masquerade ball surrounding by music and light where hundreds of other costumed patrons meld the night into a surrealistic fantasy.

The typical ages range between 18 - 30 with a wide variance of people that are quite a bit older and a handful with their families that are younger. It really depends on the person and their family for those under 18. Much like a Ren-Faire or a thespian play, there may be some tones that are steeped in art and fantasy, but perhaps a little mature for those under 18.

To be honest, there may be many points where younger patrons might be quite bored. We leave it at the parents discretion and advise as best we can about the content of our event. Obviously there's also a host of people in Venetian, Faerie, Goblin and Elvish garb along with whispers of even darker tales, so if you're able to enjoy and appreciate these themes with a mature attitude, you'd probably fit right in.

So if you're 18, you are perfectly welcome within the court. Those under 18 must have a parent or guardian with them to enter

Do you guys accept temp guardian papers? They're pretty much a little notarized sheet saying "so and so can take my kid to the hospital, signed:parents"

I know that certain groups will take them for events under a week long.

        Hiya,

Due to local laws and whatnot involving minors, it's a little complicated. LA has its own laws regarding curfews of teenagers without their parents, and then there's the added complication of people flying in from out of state (I'm one of them, and I started flying out before I turned 18), and all kinds of liability issues. You should send an email to info@labyrinthmasquerade.com for a better answer on this though, because it's a tricky one better handled privately with regard to each person's individual situation.

This shouldn't discourage anyone under 18 from at least trying to work something out, though. I know I never had a problem ultimately getting there and getting in before I hit 18, but I'm just lucky that way.

        -N.
