Saturday, June 20th (11am - 1pm):
Modern Theatrical Bellydance(Beginner)
Age 16 and up
No Bellydance training needed; some kind of dance knowledge is helpful
This workshop will focus on basic traditional "cabaret" Bellydance technique, or Raqs Sharqi, grounded in Golden Age era style and incorporating Modern theatrical dance aesthetics. Building a sound foundation of a basic working vocabulary, I will use Modern dance technique for the stage to enhance and add dimension to this traditional dance. Combinations will be taught to learn the musicality of the movements.

Sunday, June 21st (11am - 1pm):
Modern Theatrical Bellydance Choreography(Beg.-Intermediate)
Age 16 and up
Some Bellydance training is recommended
A short, simple choreography will be taught.

Barefeet or ballet slippers, a scarf to tie around your hips, and comfortable dance/workout wear that shows some body lines are what to wear.

Cost: $20 per workshop or $35 for both
