We've been talking for awhile about doing this, so in the spirit of the new year...
THE BELLYDANCER'S BOOK CLUB
Meet once a month, hosted at a different member's home each month. Potluck and discussion fun.
I compiled a list of various books we can do for this. I thought we could start with a nice solid historical base, "Serpent of the Nile" by Wendy Buonaventura. And then vote on the next one.
Who's in? What day would work best for us to meet? Thursdays? or Sundays? Another suggestions?

I will not be posting the address of our meeting, as they will be residences. So if you are interested let me know, so I can keep you informed. Also, people can start anytime. So if right now is too busy for ya, feel free to join us when your schedule opens up. -

Is there anyone who might consider lending it to me from the last meeting? I take very good care of books and will return it to you unharmed and uncreased at the next meeting or shortly thereafter.

Serpent is full of fantastic photos and images that are really inspirational to have as a resource. I would really recommend getting a copy to keep in your library. It's definitely something you will want to come back to over and over again. We have an on-going list of book ideas on the Bellydance Book Club tribe. We'll open voting up this week for the next meeting. -
