LOS ANGELES - Artist Community for Change Los Angeles (ACFCLA) presents a spectacular celebration of cultures around the world in their summer concert event “It Takes A Village” at The Barnsdall Gallery Theatre – a facility of the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs on Saturday, July 25, 2009. ACFCLA is a non-profit organization of artists dedicated to using their individual artistic expression to influence and inspire others in a positive way on global, environmental and humanitarian causes. Visual art gallery reception at 6:00pm featuring nationally recognized visual artists including, Maria Apelocruz,
Laura Knight, Stephen Schubert, Akiko Sugiyama, Lindsay Dakota, and more, plus live collaborative art mural demonstration. followed by dance and musical performances at 7:00pm. Including ACFCLA contemporary dance company, LEGOZ choreographed by Bryan & Johnny, Joelle Martinec’s UnBound Dance Ensemble, Shivani Thakkar, Aubre Hill & Lumina Belly Dance Co., Azure Antoinette, Marisa Guterman, Lawson, Michael Greg, and tons more. It Takes A Village concert is the idea that whether you live in a remote village or a metropolitan city it takes each of us and we can all make a difference.
