I mentioned this (twice, oops) in another thread, but I would like to offer space at my tent "Camp David" for a hosted unoffical Afghan-Persian session, after the classes are over, before and around dinnertime, and before the Greeks get going too much in the tekke (so I can play there too.)
Also, since I've been writing a lot of new Middle Eastern style music, I'd like to try to have a concert of some of my music at the Camp 3 hall. I'll try to get an ensemble of willing musicians and see if I can make it happen.

Wed, June 20, 2007 - 10:03 AMRight on.
You know what class I really miss...the New Orleans Jazz workshop you did a couple of years back. Always fun to have an excuse to do the burlesque thing. -

Re: unoffical Afghan-Persian session, Camp 3 concert of David's new music
Wed, June 20, 2007 - 12:45 PMThe New Orleans Jazz/Dixieland/Hot Big Band thing is happening, just up the trail at Camp 2's new "Roadhouse" dedicated to loud jazz and other brassy music. This is my "official" workshop, held about 2:30 in the afternoon, and of course we'll have a fun time and burlesque is very welcome!
