Hey Tort Hedz, I hope everyone had fun losing their Tortillas at the fest this year !!

Rain poured so hard for the first three days, that by Sunday I was hallucinating raindrops all day and night.
The winter season is here, have at it! Said mother nature as we celebrated one last musical freak out in nature until next Spring. It was sooooooooooooooo hot and dry for MONTHS leading up to Tortugas.....al the fires of summer, choking on smoke, barely riding bikes on a sand dune playa, wham bam oh shit ma'am, its wet cold harvest FROSTy relentless on the tiny boulevards of Evergreen Lodge Festy Town. Hunker down, paint your face, let your make up run for the hills, mosh in a puddle and lets CELEBRATE!! The shock of the rain watered down with tequila and love and smiles and most of all, top titties rock and frickin roll MUSIC...........

Was it a dream? Was my favorite band really playing all 4 nights? Were my friends really putting this all on? Have I really been a part of something this amazing the last 5 years? Did Blue Turtle REALLY play 4 amazing sets of music? Are all these other bands and artists on the line up REALLY this GREAT? Are these smiles for real......do I really have this many friends? Is the love in my heart respected so tenderly by this crew of FREAKS? Driving home in a downpour barely seeing in the dark on monday, I knew the answer to all these questions was a big fat YES, except for the DREAM part! hahaha!!! LIVIN IT!

Bee back with more musical reviews and highlights~~ VIVA TORTUGAS and LONG MAY YOU LOSE YOUR TORTILLAS!!

Are you Tony B? Phew what a weekend.....

You know that post festy funk you get after festivals when you return home? Does everyone know what Im talking about....everything kind of looks different, like theres a different aura to your house and the town you live in....sometimes its interesting, but it usually feels really strange. This round was REALLLLY strange because of the time change and season change. Im trying to force myself back into normalicy (which isnt bad!! Husband and kitties, how bad could it bee?) Just ate a super hot meal, some vitamins, and watching Obama win...woohoooooo....slowly but surely I will somehow get used to this winter feeling and as we spin round the wheel of life we will land in Evergreen Tortville once again next year. :)

Yeah, grub in our WC was totaly overkill. I'll buy those girls a Salmon Burger to not do that again

LOL, we kept a beverage cooler in our bathroom, but that kinda makes sense..... pee one beverage out, then you got your replacement beverage right there next to the sink! :)

I fucking loved Tortugas! Dispite the cold rain, I had the time of my life!! Well, I certainly had the best festie of the season there...though I only did Desert Rocks, Hornings, NWSS and then LT.

My new favorite. Already makin plans for next year and a good potion of my desire to return is all the beautiful friendly people. Much love. Light too! :)

                      Awwwwww!
Jef, my sentiments exactly.....get the w00ks out and its right up there with High Sierra, if not better because of the time of year and intimacy, halloween and focus on the bands and the nature. I dunno, I could never choose between those fests!! That would be so hard!!

                      VIVA TORTS! LONG LIVE TORTUUUGAS!!!

It's funny you say we're just mirrors Pam...coinsidence/synchronistic!

If I had to pick, I would for sure pick Tortugas...
