she wasn't really pissed about being attacked personally. she got upset that the so-called boycott was blown out of proportion by other posts, then the band didn't like the negativity brought about by it and, being their good friend, she had to have that conversation with them.

it wasn't the right choice of words IMO, no one is picketting or protesting or telling others not to go or something. tide fans are positive super stokers, and tide doesn't want any random tribe lurker to think any differently. which is also where message boards become a problem. words are limiting, people don't have a chance to rephrase before assumptions are made and there are 10 replies, whatever.

phrased correctly, IMO, there are some tide fans, amber's good friends, that would be more motivated to return to tortugas this year if tide was added to the lineup. doesn't mean they hate HBR and ALO and aren't real music fans anyway and shouldn't be allowed at festivals :). [no confusion, that's a joke..] you know there is always a band or two that can push you over the edge. i'd go into credit card debt if RRE was on the lineup!

i think there's a decent chance i'll be there. halloween is my favorite holiday because it makes everyone play dress up with me!! and at tortugas i get to play 4 nights in a row!! i love costumes. shit, i just realized i don't know what i'm going to be this year and it's almost august!
