Thanks for everyone's participation last night. I think things went well, except for some music problems. If there is a next time that I organize something like this, I think when I rip the CD, the owner of it should probably be around to confirm the music. Also, Chris said it is possible to turn a tape into digital music. I never knew that one! Also, I need to figure out how to get that sound system louder ...I dont know how to use it very well!
We did raise 130.00 for the Humane Society. I just got off the phone with them and they said they needed supplies more than monetary donations, so I am heading out to buy cat and dog food, litter and bedding for the animals. They also mentioned that they are in desparate need of volunteers, even just one day a month, if anyone is interested in that. I think Chris and I are going to try to help out on Saturday or Sunday mornings.

That sounds great. I think I'll look into volunteering on Sunday mornings - I think I'd want to bring all the animals home with me though. : )
The music problems weren't your fault. We should have made sure we were giving you the right music and should have had the other music. Sorry about that. We really need to look into putting that cane dance on CD or something because we run into a problem about it constantly. Ask Chris how we can go about doing that.
We performed to the right song (Kali Ma by Desert Wind) at the Bean show in October. You may actually have it if you still had our other music. I just thought about it this morning.
All in all I think it went well. Hopefully the April performance will go off without a hitch. -

Mon, March 20, 2006 - 2:21 PMWe did an improv duet to the Kali Ma song in October which is what inspired us to do the choreography for PURA. We did dance to it though and did the drop and floor work that we preserved in the choreography.

I know you work two jobs and are in college full-time and it must be tough. But I have to say thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Even though I wasn't in the show this time I know how hard you worked for it and got everything together. I feel bad because I don't have any contacts to do the bellydance shows myself. If you ever want to do anymore you can count on me to help in anyway that I can. Let me know.

Mon, March 20, 2006 - 2:28 PMyeah we didn't do the choreography in October, but we did the improv duet in the ghawazee coats in October to the Kali Ma song.
Hopefully she has it, but now that I think about it, we may have just played it on the stereo I brought that time. Just have to make sure we get it to her before next performance. -
