Saturday October 14 - 1:00-2:20 - Staver Dance Studio, 41 E. 6th
$15 plus cost of materials.
In this fun and interactive workshop, I'll share knowledge with students that it took me over a year of research and experimentation to compile. A variety of materials will be provided to students at cost to experiment and create their own fall or accent to take home. I will discuss where to find supplies, how to create a secure base, different synthetic hair types, as well as principles of design and styling and securing the falls to your natural hair. This will be a hands on chance to get your creative juices flowing and to create something you can use right away! You will be able to purchase the the fall or accessory you create as part of the class for the cost of materials.
This workshop is part of the Middle Eastern Dance Guild of Eugene Fall festival. For more festival info, please check www.medge.org. To register, please contact Oralia at oralia.kolaczkowski@gmail.com

Re: Layla's Locks Workshop - Fake Hair 101 - 10/14 - Eugene, OR
Mon, September 24, 2007 - 2:13 AMLayla, are you by any chance considering offering this workshop again? I'm a costume and hair designer (you might have seen some of my recent wig work in the Bach Festival's King David if you caught it), and I would be very interested in learning more about how you do your thing. :)

Re: Layla's Locks Workshop - Fake Hair 101 - 10/14 - Eugene, OR
Sat, September 29, 2007 - 7:39 PMI have not been contacted by the guild to do this again, but have considered offering it again, except the duration would need to be longer, I would want to include a materials kit and therefore the price would need to go up...
But please feel free to message me if you'd like to get together. I'd love to see and learn about some wig work, maybe we could swap secrets...
