10 am-noon: INDIC IDIOM with Ruric-Amari.
Experience a new freedom and range in dance expression! Mid-Eastern dance, with its complete torso control, is the perfect complement to the ancient science of Bharatanatyam, with its powerful earthy feet and expressive eyes and hands. Learn Bharatanatyam-inspired foot patterns, hand gestures, poses and head movements, then layer them with movements from oriental dance to create powerful and expressive combinations. ($25)
1-4 pm: ZEN MIND, PERFORMANCE MIND with Laylia.
LAYLIA is a dance artist with a bewitching stage presence and a knack for teaching other dancers how to engage and bewitch their own audiences. Her stage personna is enchanting and completely unpredicatable, and her ability to incorporate humor and comedy into her performances is stellar. Don't miss this! ($40)
8 pm: CONCERT and LOVELY LATE NIGHT party.
The one-hour dance concert will feature Laylia, Ruric, and several guests. It will be followed by a LOVELY LATE NIGHT dance party with lots of open dancing and refreshments! ($7)

Laylia learned drumming a decade ago while performing with the Turkish band Turkana. Want to be a drumming dancer too? Bring your dombek, your large pan, or your flat-bottomed pot or trash can and enjoy this workshop! Yes, your favorite drummer-in-training is welcome! ($25)
