Morning from the UK
I am in need of some new inspiring music please! Preferably suggestions for tracks that are 5 mins as most performance slots are limited to that length, but I'll be happy with any new ideas or your favourites
Thanks in anticipation
Emma

Re: I need some new music please!
Fri, July 13, 2007 - 8:53 AMHello Emma,
One of my favourite artists would be Emad Sayyah. Right now, I particularly like any song on the CD "Lebanese Bellydance" with the dancer "Sandra" on the cover... www.raks-sharki.com.
The compilations: Amiritna Habibitna, Ahlaw Sahla, Haflitna ma Btickhlas, Fannik Saharna, Taht el Balah, Ghali, Jimaal am Tourkos, Ma Tistihi, Maria oh Maria, Shou hal Khasr, Farha wa Marha, Amina, Ahlaami Asraar, Zaar Naar, Zakriina bil Farah.
I will keep you updated with more!
Hope this helps,
Karima -

Re: I need some new music please!
Fri, July 13, 2007 - 11:48 AMThank you. I picked up a compilation recenly - The World of Belly Dance by the El Almaas band - which I think is Emad Sayyahs? I've been doing a few from that one as they have all hit the right chord with me
I can see I might be investing in some more music soon

Thu, July 19, 2007 - 8:17 AMHi again~
Here are a few more suggestions for you:
One of the most popular vocalists right is would be Nancy Ajram. Particularly look to the CD, Ah W Noss - Collector's Edition as it comes with the words!
Instrumental CDs would be:
Aboud Abdel Al : Best of Modern Arabian Bellydance
anything with Adam Basma (he's a dancer, but put together his own collections of music on several different showtime CDs)
Setrak Sarkissian
Bassem & Noura : Oriental Belly Dance
Elie Attieh Orient Zone : Oriental Club Music
Ziad Rahbani : Belly Dance! Spectacular Rhythms of the Middle East
Good luck in your search! There are tonnes out there!!!
