Ok, so I'm completely in love with the new RICA hoops. I already have one psi hoop (24 LED, 12 elfin + 12 dragonfly), and maybe this is just me being a greedy hooper, but I REALLY want one...how much are they?? I paid about $380 for mine because of the number of lights and the alternating circuit. I'm guessing it's in the ballpark of $300? Sooooo beautiful.....

Sat, September 26, 2009 - 2:41 PMit's $5 per LED after the basic 16 LEDS, so if it needs less LEDS, yes, it will be cheaper. If you email Patrick and tell him what weight you want, he'll choose the correct tubing for you. Mine, the HDPE, is lighter than my regular day hoops, and weighs about 1 pound 5 ounces. I also had him sand the inside for friction, instead of taping it up, and that lack of tape helps keep it light.

I have one of this guy's (non rainbow) LED hoops, they are AMAZING quality and the batteries last FOREVER. I've got one of the rainbow hoops in the mail to me right now, can't wait! =) -

Wed, October 14, 2009 - 11:26 AMBe careful with this one. I don't mean to put the guy down, but I had some problems with mine from him. It was a beautiful hoop, but it shorted out and I had to send it back to be fixed 3 times in less than a year. I finally just gave up and learned how to make my own.
This was almost two years ago, so he may have changed his system and have higher quality hoops now. The good thing is that he did fix it for free every time I had a problem. -

In my experience, Mike has always been great with communication and very professional. I consider my hoops to be very well made and high quality. -

i've read some good reviews of their led hoops, but it seems like they've been selling mostly their region. their website is kind of wonky (under construction perhaps?) but i have a business card from them i got at symbiosis. when i think of it i'll post the email in here, since they also make really beautiful rainbow led hoops (but their website seems down) -
