Do you think it is possible that Leonardo ment to show Marie-Magdalena next to Jesus, instead of the unbearded John...?
Was he a gnostic?

    I heard that he was gay. That can explain his openess and hidden rebellion against the catholic church, that employed him.

      Its a shame he's been turned into a pulp novel, What work he has done should be enough to amaze and mystify people without Dan Brown’s help.

      I believe he left Florence because of sodomy charges, and his work with dead bodies for his medical drawings wouldn’t have gone done too well with the pope, seeing as it was done in the cathedral cellar of the mortuary of Santa Spirito.

      I think he had male lovers, but from what I gather he was celibate with them for a lot of his life.
