remember, tv wasnt even around as early as 100 years ago. I have come to believe that humanities increased fear of doomsday events is purley based on the extreme ease we can access information. 100 years ago a devastating tsunami in Indonesia would never have reached our shores, they would have had to deal with it themselves, which im sure they have been doing since mankind first walked upright, but today's media wants to flood our senses with doom and destruction. every earthquake, brushfire, flood, fire and famine is broadcast 24/7 into our homes. what i want to know is your thoughts on wether our quest for total destruction has always been our goal or if our complete access to worldwide information is the cause?
