Communities and something I have been thinking about...

I am not sure if this is something but lately I have been thinking about the small villages of the ancient times and how they encompassed small amounts of people and each had their own trade. I was thinking of the tiny village, before the overpopulation of today as well as the Wal-Mart giants generating waste beyond what we can handle, and thought about how they had people who each had a talent - maybe one was good at healing people and another good at healing animals, one baked very well and another was able to grow food for the village and animals, one was a good tanner and the other a blacksmith, etc. People would go to villages and trade wares and not use one iota of money. Just their valuable trade of what their personal gift was to the village. There may have been others that came in with the same gifts as some of these folks and maybe set up their own shop or worked together with the person who did the same thing as they did. This created maybe more leisure time for contemplating and thinking or time spent with family or whatever was needed for the spirit to evolve. You also could create more of what was needed if the small village grew. So how do you figure people worked out this kind of thing out and had it be a success? Where competition need not turn into a fight but how do you do that? People's agendas and stuff. I just wonder about how successful areas did this. How this can be applied to the future and how that is handled without a "king or queen" figure? Can that truly be? Can people work as a whole to settle differences and conflicts so that the town or village they live in does not become so complicated it just runs well even if a monkey wrench is thrown into it?

Maybe this isn't making any sense but I just really am wondering how you create places that have this kind of working together quality, each with their own talents, helping people through bad days and leaving money out of it. Maybe this is primitive but I feel like this simplification of life would be easier to do than what we tend to do now. It just keeps running through my head lately...the idea of places like this. People just living, doing their life work or the things they really enjoy and living in harmony with one another and the earth....has anyone else been seeing this deep inside lately?

2012.......?

hi everyone, im new to this tribe but i wanted to pose a question that i have been thinking about for a while now, what does everyone think is going to happen on dec 21 2012? i have been watching a lot of youtube videos and have figured out that something that only happens once every 26,000 years is going to happen on dec 21 2012. what this event is going to be is vague, stretching from the return of a distant planet (nibiru) to the polar shift of the sun and the earth, to a good old religious doomsday.
what do you all think?

remember, tv wasnt even around as early as 100 years ago. I have come to believe that humanities increased fear of doomsday events is purley based on the extreme ease we can access information. 100 years ago a devastating tsunami in Indonesia would never have reached our shores, they would have had to deal with it themselves, which im sure they have been doing since mankind first walked upright, but today's media wants to flood our senses with doom and destruction. every earthquake, brushfire, flood, fire and famine is broadcast 24/7 into our homes. what i want to know is your thoughts on wether our quest for total destruction has always been our goal or if our complete access to worldwide information is the cause?

It looks as though it is Time for an Alternative Community to be formed in a Safe Place. So that People like Us are not Destroyed by Interests of Negativity. I do believe that Australia could just be the place to build that Community!

Balance

To me, the definition of balance is the ability to embrace all that exists, both individually and communally, without attatchment, expectations or limitations. That seems to me to also be the definitions for unconditional love and free will... Still...it can be a tall order, yet, we can have a feast on our plates but no one can eat it but a bite at a time.

Nurturing

I believe that much dysfunction exists because people do not know how to self-nurture. Most of us know that dysfunction is due to fear. But those who know how to self-nurture definitively fear-less.

People who were not touched or held enough as babies, especially babies who were not breast fed by their moms tend to lack the ability to nurture themselves as adults, to a large part.

That has been one of my biggest problems, not knowing how to nurture myself, until recently that is and yet it is so simple an exercise that everyone does it every time they go out for fast food like KFC for example, no wonder fast food is so popular!!! Just the act of eating it with our own hands self nurtures! Luckily if we choose we can transmute the stuff in fast foods that is not so healthy for us. ;)

To me the self-nurturing key, finger food, rather, eating with our fingers, would resolve a lot of problems for those with eating disorders even!!! Eat everything with your fingers well, slowly and with intent, but you may need a spoon for the soup, lol, you might just feel better but now you will know why, at the least you just might remember why it is young ones suck their thumbs! What a gift going abck to our childhood can be!

I posted this in the 2012 tribe. But also thought it would greatly fit here.
Someone posted something there about saving the world and having trouble that his familiy tells him to take of this first.
Here is my quite realistic aproach to that topic.

I do take care most of the time of my life of my grandpa now who is not doing well anymore. Still i am a good and faithful and most important loving friend to the view who surround me to have prooven many times in their life to be my cherished friend.
I am also spreading new ideas and information to the ones who I befriended ... here on tribe, nice peeps I know from partys and spend time once in a while. I rarely have time for just myself. But I dont really need it, I am fine, feel centered and in the flow of life, which gives me new chores and challenges every day. Saving the world??? dont fall for a illusion.

If you are in LOVE and take care of others without forgetting to take care of yourself to be able to be fully there for others.... Thats what I can do for the world.

Love within each and everyone of us is what the world needs. See it like a pyramid game... which it really is...
Love 10 people arround you from the deepest bottom of your soul, it will spread, it will inspire and it will create more love. Love is not timely bound it spreads faster than any information and it growing potentially.

You cant spread your love to 1000s directly. Thats just blabla it doesnt really get to them and will soon be forgotten.
Love the ones close to you, show them your gratitude and how much you cherish them and the will do the same with others. Just a view again. But this is the way to deeply connect to millions even if you dont know them.

Millions of people thats what this world needs to be saved... forget all the crap about paranoia suspicion and hatred people try to feed you.
Put down your sword and stop to fight. No world needs a war to be saved.

Integration of agriculture in city structures...

I most recently came across the biography of Jules Hardouin Mansart (1646-1708)
He was the inventor of the Mansard, which are rooms filling the roofspace. In modern architecture roofs are flat but in classic cities like vienna you have most houses with a classic roof. Back in the days these spaces were used for the personell, servants and slaves.

Nowadays most of these spaces beneath the roof are just empty and used as a storage, in rare cases. Mostly trash is piling up there and these spaces are of no use at all. So I had the idea of how to use them for the good of the people.
Actually this idea came from looking at old castles in austria which are in a desolate state, without any windows and damadged roofs but a perfectly fine building structure and from the idea the people are greening flat roofs of modern architecture.

Well combine that and instead of going with the classic thing to repair a roof and restore the old useless condition adapt the spaces for small scale gardening. Like a greenhouse on top of every building. You do the same thing like as if your were greening a flat roof but instead you have a roof over it to grow vegetables and herbs for the use of the people living in the house. Leaving the classic structure of the roof but putting glass or plexiglass pannels or even seethrough solar panels into the roof as a perfect weather protection.

This idea is based on free energy. So if you have for instance a H2O generator in the house supported by a couple of solar panels you can grow vegetables all year long. By giving them the perfect climate and supporting their growth with plantlight lamps on the not so sunny days.

Advantages through this:
Protection from Insects - no use of pesticides
Protection against severe weather conditions
Protection against sour rain or chemicals in the air.
More oxygen production in city area
No use of transportation of fresh goods.
No cooling methods necessary in the transportation cycle.
Ability to apply demeter based agricuture above your living spaces.
You see what you eat and can care for it yourself
Protection of the crop in case of flooding.
Protection against fire, since flames are transfered from burning roof to the next. (try to burn wet soil)
With the right vegtables grown the house can be supported to full selfsufficience.

Democracy

Since it is voting time in some countrys I would like to bring up the topic of rulership of a country.
Most of us do live in countries where a democracy in one form or the other is implemented. I could go into all kinds of other systems of rulership but most of us I think agree with the idea that everyone should have a choice.

In more native societies usually the desisions are made by a council of elders to enact certain decisions. In other tribal communities there are usually clans, who have a clan chief representing the interests of the clan within the tribe.

As it is in many countries right now we have a kind of weird situation of how democracy is actually performed. As far as I know in the US it works this way. Lobbies (interest groups) bribe or financially support representatives of the congress to have them vote accordingly to the interest of the group. In other countries its a whole bunch of different partys who are represented and vote in a parliament on facts. In most higher industrial countries (EU) the american model is more and more enacted. Representatives receive support for their interest or just gifts like free airplain tickets or something of that sort. So in common one could say the working democracy is a tool of manipulation and bribing.

What also happens is that each representative wanting to speak to a topic gets a speachtime and within this time he tries to convice the other representatives with polemics and rhetoric tools to vote accordingly to their "suggestion". Which again prooves that democracy working right now is a tool of manipulation.

How do you think democracy should be performed in a Life Beyond. Do you think decision finding is happening like that or just out of synchronicity. Do you think that living in harmony still requires tools of control. Humanity prooving to this date beeing the rolemodel of imperfection. Whats perfect for you?

Alternative Energy forms

In order to sustain a city and store fresh goods and be able to diliver a whole variety of food sources not depending on outer climate electricity is a good source of energy since its is freely available without the need of fossile, waste incineration or atomic power.
In a long term and under heavy weather conditions and to live in harmony with the nature the commercialy used alternative energies, like wind, solar or water power are in a long term perspective to my opinion not the way to go.

The reason for that:
- Wind powerplants are destroying the landscape and a whole field of windwheels is just not harmonizing at all with nature, besides the fact that heavy winds distroy windwheels, besides that a field of windwheels is creating such a huge static field that birds and fish get confused and get lost on their travel routes.
- Solar power is depending on sunlight and rare minerals in the production so in case of a local or global change in clowd density the energy production is insufficient and would also require huge battery banks to store electicity.
- Water energy in most cases destroys riverbanks and biotopes connected to a river which is again not harmonic and in the situation of excessive flooding the powerplants are beeing destroyed also.

Recently I have watched a video of a guy running a regular combustion engine just with negatively charged water. Which would be a valuable information for car recycling since there are plenty of combustion engines in use at the moment and with a bit of addaption able to run with water. I am not sure if this is fake so if you have more information on this please post it...

Also I heard of a selfsufficient village in the US and a community in the jungle of india, which is powered by a tesla powerplant, which is working just with static electricity which is freely available.
I have seen a couple of videos on Youtube concerning this topic but none of them gave valuable information on how to construct those devices to make them usable for a whole village. If you have more input on those things or even alternative methods besides electricity please let us know.

Self sufficient cities

Most recently I am looking into the matter of self sufficient city planning. I havent studdied architecture or agriculture, but there are interesting concepts and projects out there to take a look at.

The idea is to integrate the aggricultural needs of a city within and surrounding the houses. One of the projects I got pointed to was
www.arcosanti.org . A project located in Arizona where these aspects are somewhat integrated. The idea originated from Paolo Soleri who is an engenious architect with revolutionary ideas concerning this topic.

Soon I will get involved into a simular project which is beeing formed and supported by the University of Agriculture in Vienna, Austria and I hope I can implement some aspects of drastical climate change and economical changes which are happening or emminent within the next couple of years. And of course I will keep you updated.

Speech the mother of thoughts - Silence the mother of enlightenment

Today my day began with a "jodel". I live in a big city and it highly unusual that someone jodels arround here, but in my neighborhood someone lives who just likes to jodel, I have never seen him but I heared him many times. In the Austrian alps this wonderful communication form was developed to communicate from mountain to mountain. But nowadays its only applied in mindless "folk" music without any deeper meening than just beeing melodic. But this raised a thought.

For my american folks its probably easier to connect to the walt disney movie, where a little fish who is forgetting every thought a second later is fully capable of speaking waleish.

What do you do when you are in moments without any thoughts. Like in states of beeing just happy and satisfied with your life, you go Aaaahhhhh. During sex people even tend to express themselves in a mutlitude of moans and groans and are very well understood by their oposing part. Basically when you count it all together what kind of different sighs you let loose during your life its like a vocabulary of many 100 different expressions. Coolest thing about it is... these expressions are understood in every country, by babies and even more by animals. Sometimes you dont even notice when you sigh, so its an expression of subconciousness and could basically be defined as a 5th dimensional language. Try to lie with a sigh... ;)

Now back to speech, with a couple of hundred words you can communicate through speech and are barely understood in the country where it is spoken. When someone answers though out of your vocabluary you just dont get what he wanted to say. What is speach actually mostly used for besides communicating just the necessary.
Manipulation, speech is more often used to manipulate than to communicate. It is used as a tool to either keep your minds busy, like TV peaking an a most idiotic invention the talk-show.

Or even more in politics, where it is not about communication at all and only about manipulation. Every democratic country is ruled by a parlament or a congress, but what happens before people make a vote there. One speech after the other, where the speaker tries to manipulate the audience to be convinced of his point of viewing things to process their vote accordingly. Besides the fact that it takes half a lifetime to learn and perfectionize the art of manipulation it takes the other half of a lifetime to manipulate people accordingly.
Speech as a tool of power, for those who are trained well to speak and accepted as a mere form of communication cherrished by the ones manipulated. I could go on and on about speach and where it is used to have power over someone else. Every discussion is involving this component no matter what the outcome is.

But people like to speak, some people are so used to it that they cant even stop. Well trained from early childhood on and especially in the usa, where some people spent 50% of their youth hanging on a phone due to a convenient local flat rate. When they are grown they are so used (addicted) to it that they dont even waste a minute of a though what sense it makes to chitter chatter about everything in their surrounding, as long as they can chatter. Most people in a modern society can not spend even 30 minutes in silence and the idea of going to a seminar where you spend 10 days in silence is totally out of question.

I attended a seminar where you mediate and spend 10 days in silence. And it was incredible what kind of addiction to speech is manifested within me. Sometimes there is an urge you need to speak, even if its just to yourself. But silence is not the only thing you do within those 10 days, also awareness meditation. And within those days of not speaking and concentrating on awareness your levels of concentration rise so much the effect of it is unspeakable. You get a glimpse of what a human is really capable of and the reality of beeing completely changes. Within those days you still sigh and express yourself through body language automatically but, no speaking creates a state where your brain is less and less busy thinking. Words create thoughts and thoughts create words, thats a cycle we are all living in.
And breaking out of this cycle for just a little while leaves you with all what the preciousness of a human brain is all about. Bliss followed by an enlightened state. But after those 10 days when you are allowed to speak again its incredible what happens. It impossible to concentrate on meditation anymore, its incredible how much crap gurgles out of you in the first hour of speaking and more incredible it is how much you need to speak.

Speaking allows you to lie, even to yourself. It allows you to be cynical, sarcastic, brutally critical which is the mother of all jokes. Yes people do need a good laugh to be happy, but you can laugh without speech, in a moment of bliss where it seems more beautiful than it ever was before. And it doesnt leave a guilty conciousness cause you made fun of someone or laughed because someone else did. it leaves joy which is one of the hardest to achieve aspects of enlightenment.

What do you think .. is it about time to finally stop talking...?? Do we need a new form of communication. Are wales truely a more intelligent species than man? Is this the key why we cant understand whalish, cause it would need a million words to explain what they express in a couple of crackles and moans...

Complete Medicine

Living a life in harmony with yourself and others and the nature, implements that a lot of societary deseases will be extinct. In order to live in total harmony it is necessary for everyone to know how an organism on all levels of existance works.
