Just to make my inaugural go-round as editor as painless as possible fer moi:
No theme. Whatever lines you think will float yer boat, sail yer plane, or power yer Prius.
Ready?
Set?
GO!!!
Remember, PM me your lines with LBL 46 as the email subject.
Unless I get possessed by the Ghost of Teaching Assistants Past [you may make prop bets on the side if you like], I'll assemble the lines as received and in the order received.
I'll also announce a cutoff date fer submissions fer this round sometime in the next month (or when the total lines received begin to resemble a modern adaptation of an ancient verse play in five acts, whichever comes first, of course, of course [grin]...)

Thu, May 8, 2008 - 3:48 PMBUMP!
Unless I get persuaded otherwise, I'm picking midnight EDT of May 28 for the deadline of this round.
[I'm also willing to entertain anyone's suggestions as to how frequently I should start new rounds -- monthly versus semimonthly versus based on phases of the moon (?)...]
Anyhoo, I've received a couple of lines so far this round from yawl, but it's still not even sonnet-length yet -- so we need more BRAAAAAAIIINNNNSSS!!!...errr, I mean LINES!!! [makes note to cut down on my zombie movie consumption...] -

That's the two-week warning buzzer.
(Not the 'too weak' buzzer -- that's a whole nother tribe, methinks...)

Yawl now have *one week* left before I lock #46 down.
Remember: get yer lines in to me no later than May 28th midnight EDT (or be faced with the unspeakable horror of being 'rolled' into #47 -- oh, the humanity! [grin]...) -

Re: 46
Thu, May 22, 2008 - 9:07 AMdo you need more lines from someone whose already sent you several?
am I getting too technical? -

Re: 46
Thu, May 22, 2008 - 10:06 AMIf you've got some more, you can send them OR wait fer the next round -- yer choice...
[I'm also still open to any ideas from the floor fer future round themes or possible procedural permutations...] -

Re: 46
Thu, May 22, 2008 - 11:40 PMoh. I was hoping you'd decide for me.
Not feeling like my contributions were very creative, so I guess I'll just wait.
*twiddling thumbs*
Hey, anybody wanna thumb wrestle? -

Go for it. You're gonna loose, cause I've got lots of them. -

Re: 46
Fri, May 23, 2008 - 9:50 AMfor those who don't know, torriod is fiddling with my toes in one tribe while offering to thumb wrestle me in this one. I am having difficulty envisioning and comprehending it. -

From what I've seen, that's part of the default evolutionary pattern fer tribes [shrugs]... -

Fri, May 23, 2008 - 11:37 AMIf we send you a line Andrew, will the other people know it was ours? I'm feeling a little shy. -

Re: 46
Fri, May 23, 2008 - 11:44 AMTradition to date has been to keep submissions anonymous -- I intend to hold to that until such time as I am presented with a consensus to the contrary... -

Re: 46
Wed, May 28, 2008 - 9:06 PMoh I see, you are closing it off at midnight. Here I was camped out with my popcorn, hoping something would magestically pop up in front of me. Not your fault. I read what I wanted to see I guess. (I'm just chomping at the bit for this poem! chomp! chomp!)
I will go chill now and wind down for the night. Look forward to whenever it may arrive! -

Re: 46
Fri, May 30, 2008 - 12:59 PMPerformance anxiety? Maybe I misunderstood. You are editing? Or are you rewriting? Or are you recording the video of the first public reading at the Kennedy Center. Now *that* would be cool. -

Re: 46
Fri, May 30, 2008 - 1:17 PM"You are editing? Or are you rewriting?"
Hey, even *editing* can be an anxiety-attack-producing endeavor when one's creative Type-A personality gets involuntarily reactivated... -
