I'm tying to convince my work place to keep the fridge more clean. my boss told em ai could trow away food every friday but the ladies in my office have been getting mad at me. so I offered a compromise - i'll leave the food in there if it has the person's name and the date on the food item, and anything over a week old would get tossed. they are not happy with that either. we've got to do soemthing though. one time there was some broccoli in there that was so spoiled we could smell it in my office. that means that the smell had to go through the fridge itself and through the wall seperating my office form the kitchen! ond in early MAY i threw away a carton of soy milk that expired in november and had leaked a brown liquid through the bottom of the carton and all over the top shelf. my co-workers think I should just leave everything and let people be responsible for themselves. I told them that this is what happens when we do that. so they are mad at me. but my boss said I can do it so too bad for them.

I take it upon myself to rid the fridge of nasties every chance I get. If the ladies get mad at you, I would suggest putting the spoiled items on thier desks and let them deal with the stench and grossness
OMG SICK! -

YES! Great Idea!
Pull it out and take it to them! Say (while putting the putrid item on their desk) Just wanted to make sure you did not want this before I threw it out!
Nasty!

That's horrible! My fridge at work is always spic and span. Well, cleaned out of all edibles anyhoo. It gets pretty yucky with sticky stuff and what not but I clean it out once a month. It didn't use to be like that, though. I sorta did something similiar to this, but not quite so overtly, and not really on purpose. It worked I guess...
YUCKY STINKY OLD BROCOLLI!
