I am not sure if you are discussing my postings or not but if so...

I posted to many tribes about the branding class because it is tomorrow. It is an important class and the only one we have had on branding in our five year history. I didn't want anyone to miss the opportunity to attend or know about it.

Usually I post as an event but this time I took about 2 hours to post to every tribe I thought might be interested.

Fakir has never taught branding at the Citadel and I didn't want anyone to be ignorant of his class

My apologies that we did not respond to your request faster. Being a holiday weekend, most of the Locked team was away from tribe.

To answer your question, this tribe is to be used to distribute information about the Locked events, answer questions that attendees might have, and to give some general information regarding the theme of each party and what to expect for those that would choose to do a bit of research and preparation prior to the events. We welcome discussion of ideas that are relevant to the theme of the Locked events; ie M/s, D/s protocol, service, etc. We also welcome postings of Bay Area events that are in line with these themes, as we believe that attendance at these events helps to cultivate the concepts that we are also attempting to cultivate. Other event postings are not as appropriate and will likely be deleted when one of the Locked Team has time to do so.

You are correct that there are many other D/s-specific Tribes that perform this function admirably already. This Tribe will indeed be used to facilitate information or discussion about the SF Citadel's "Locked" events, and ideas.

If you want to know what's going on about "Locked" then come here. Since "Locked" is an SF Citadel-sponsored event, this tribe will occasionally include relevant cross-marketing which may be of interest to the event's attendees.

I would reasonably expect D/s-related discussions to occur resulting from people's experiences at "Locked", and they are absolutely encouraged, but we do not intend that this will become another general D/s discussion forum. Rather, we intend this Tribe to remain primarily a source of information and discussion surrounding this D/s-centric party.
