The Society of Janus Presents:

Consensual slavery for the real world: Dispelling common myths about M/s by bethie Hope O

Wednesday August 27th at SF Citadel
8:00pm - 10:00pm (Doors open at 7:30pm)
$5/Janus members and affiliates; $15/non-members (you do not need to be a member to attend!)

“All slaves are submissive”
“Slaves are better than submissives”
“I’m a no-limits, 24/7 TPE slave, which is the best kind of slave”
“I punish myself worse than my Owner ever could”
“BDSM is a great way to heal yourself spiritually and psychologically”
“Once you are a slave you don’t have to worry about making decisions or being responsible for anything anymore”

We are all familiar with the sentiments expressed in these statements. They are fairly commonly heard in the BDSM community. But how true are these and other perceptions of M/s and slavery? Many of the ideals that we tout in the BDSM community are unrealistic at best. At worst they can be emotionally dangerous to both the Owner and the slave. In this class we will dispel the myths surrounding 10 areas of consensual slavery. We will examine from a slave’s point of view these and other common misconceptions, how to avoid them, and what a slave can expect from an M/s relationship in the real world. This class is taught by a real slave living a real life with a real Owner and is geared towards other slaves who seek to thrive in their M/s dynamics. Tops, Dominants and Owners are also welcome and encouraged to come!

This Janus program is open to all attendees 18 yrs of age and older who have a personal, positive interest in BDSM

Instructor bio:

Bethie Hope O identifies as a service-oriented slave and adult little girl. She has been blessed to be a 24/7 slave to Daddy Darin for the past 3 years. Bethie believes in creating supportive communities and is active in both the BDSM and age play communities. She is serving her second term as an officer in the Society of Janus and co-hosts Locked, a quarterly formal protocol play event at SF Citadel. She is also the creator and moderator of Submissive Safe Space; a monthly discussion group comprised of like minded submissives and slaves. Much of the information covered in this class comes from the insights gleaned from talking to other submissives and slaves in this group in the past year. She lives in the East Bay with her Daddy, four dogs, 4 goats, 2 turtles and an obscene quantity of stuffed animals. Her favorite crayon is cornflower blue, unsharpened.
