Zafira Dance Company’s performances are opulent vignettes that combine Bellydance with contemporary and ethnic dance forms. The result is an ornate performance that blurs the boundary between old and new; performer and audience, earthy and elegant. Jill is "the mamma of the modern tribal fusion bellydance movement". She's an original member of legendary FatChanceBellyDance, founder/director of Ultra Gypsy, Djun Djun, Zambra!, and FOXGLOVE SWEETHEARTS. With over two decades of experience Jill aimed to explore an intimate collaborative experience with some extremely well trained inspiring & versatile bellydancers. Her goal is to create work heavily informed by traditional styles of dance while keeping her famous highly developed trademark sense of experimental twists, keen aesthetics & narrative approach to the form. Bring the belly back in belly dance! Build combinations of liquid layers and torso work that roll and ripple through your belly, back, hips and shoulders. Then, add arms and footwork to frame and enhance some of your most elegant moves.
16.00-18.00 u: COMBO-Nation 2 hrs 40 euro WS2
You Love ‘em. We Love ‘em. Dance Combinations are a great way to pack in technique and signature stylizations in a short workshop timeframe. COMBO-nation will cover tried and true Zafira classic combos that they've used in some of their most popular performances, as well as new and "in the works" combos that'll push you both physically and creatively. Bring your note pad & yoga mat for a brief warm up.

12.30-15.00 u: CABARET MACABRE 2,5 hrs 50 euro WS3
Boring dance routines got you down? Are you looking for something to resuscitate your creativity? Well, let Zafira help you breathe life into your dance practice. Drama, musicality and technique are addressed in this workshop. First, we will build several tribal fusion combinations that incorporate contemporary dance with bellydance torso work- focusing on technique and alignment. Then, we will use these combos to experiment with musicality, emotion, and nuanced gestures in order to bring these young Frankensteins to life.
15.30-18.00 u: Gip-SAY SPINS and STYLINGS 2,5 hrs 50 euro WS4
Explore Zafira's distinct, earthy style in this workshop full of unique gypsy-inspired movements and spins. We will learn combinations that employ percussive movement, gestures and a variety of spins influenced by Rajasthani, Turkish, Romanian, Greek and Spanish Romani dance.
Saturday 4 hrs: €75, Sunday 5 hrs: €95, Full weekend 9 hrs €160
