so i was doing my friend/client's hair for bm. i was complaining about how women have so little evolution with what we can use for our "periods" & she turned me on to a fairly new thing called "the keeper". wowow*
i luv this thing
it's a silicone cup you insert instead of a tampon. you have to use a pantyliner too, but basically the thing catches your blood in a cup inside you and you pull it out and you can water your plants with it, paint with it, do whatever you like with it,* you can even just wash it out in the sink.
for me this is a dream come true kinda thing, cuz it not only gives me my blood for my plants (which is very important to me, magickally & practically) but when i use it, i don't get cramps*!*!*
and i've always had the worst cramps EVER* i was up to 4 advil every few hours and then that stopped working. so the i got prescriptions for hydrocodone which made me super dopey and taxes the liver among other things...ick..then that stopped working. i tried the keeper, and everytime i put it in, it almost completely removed my cramps. something about the size of it stretching my muscles inside or something i guess.
the keeper is reusable, you just rinse it out and use it again your next cycle...cool right...
if you decide to give it a go...be mindful that it comes in 2 sizes . one is for women who have had children, the other for those who haven't.
you can get it many places online. i got mine here
