Thu, December 13, 2007 - 5:41 PMwow, just keeps getting better and better, right? last year for my birthday i gave myself permission to give up on my birth family and let them go. this year i am TRYING to give myself back my body, after 30 years of neglecting/ignoring and abusing it. what are you gonna give yourself? does 50 feel like a fantastic milestone or a fantastic millstone to you?? HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!! (I'll make you a wonderful chocolate hazelnut tort and shell can decorate it all fancy. how's that sound?) -

Re: Birthday party
Sun, December 16, 2007 - 3:25 PMI'm in Camden County, Exit 3 on the turnpike. Anyway, I feel so much better about this one then when I was 40. That was a tough one for me. This milestone is making me happy. I have earned the title of Crone. My friends the funeral directors said I can borrow a coffin to crawl out of!! Yea. Let us eat cake. I am old, (and heavier) so what? I'm making my own little way in the world. I'm fine with that. Also, I'm doing the Patti Smith concert in NYC for NYE. (with my honey) -

Re: Birthday party
Mon, January 14, 2008 - 2:42 PMOne of my old beaus has offered to pay for the food for my party, (because I'm poor.) He says he's trying to make it up to me because he was an ass when we were together. You gotta love the reformed sinners! My idea was to do potluck and forgo all gifts because I don't need any more stuff. I don't want all the people I care about to wait til I'm dead to get together. (I've been to a couple of really nice memorials lately. So and so would have loved this.) I've decided against the coffin for now, but I may have a wishing well to try to fund some future face lift. -
