I am going to be renting some studio space at Velocity Dance Center (www.velocitydancecenter.org) up on Capitol Hill. The waiting list to be a sanctioned teacher with them is crazy. So they said that I could rent space there independently and teach. I would have to advertise for myself. So here I am.
I have been dancing for over 20 years, I teach ballet, modern and jazz.
I propose to have hybrid dance classes. Ballet barre/modern center or switch it up or modern/ jazz ,there is also the entirely normal class.
I just want to work everyone's bodies, have some fun, eat some space and enliven your spirit.
I also would only charge 5 bucks per class. I'm a dancer too, and I understand it's a lot better than 10 or 13 bucks.
I also accept trade, a cup of coffee, something you want to give, subbing, etc. I would also give dancers currently working on my choreography ,free classes.
The entire concept is about trade and giving both ways. Not so much about money
I want to start an email list of who is interested, as I will not be able to always get similar times or days. But I can book space at least two weeks or a month out if I have the cash.
