To 'cuss' somebody out or not to 'cuss' somebody out … that was truly the question back in June at the Apache Café in Atlanta. "Real Women Have Curves" - the Venus Revolution art exhibit was the backdrop: the life of Saartjie, known as the "Hottentot Venus" and the need to respect, appreciate and affirm Big Beautiful Sistahs (BBS's) were the contesting issues.

Audio of a panel discussion that accompanied this exhibit is now available on Some of Us Are Brave Radio at www.live365.com/stations/souab. The evening's panelists were Kevin Sipp, Imani Evans, Mausiki Scales and Thandisizwe Chimurenga (that's me).

In addition to the audio from the panel discussion, you can hear Marion X, Georgia Me, Lotus Speaks and Rare Epiphany delightfully telling much-needed truths in the Spoken Word set which immediately followed the panel discussion, and you can find my thoughts on the evening at idabwellsinstitute.blogspot.com
