I've been thinking about getting a beledi dress in stretch velvet, and I just wondered if any of you have tried the beledi dresses, and what you think of them? What style did you get? Are they comfy? Easy to move in? I'd love any input on the subject.
thanks! :-)

Re: Beledi dress?
Fri, February 29, 2008 - 8:59 AMI don't own one, but lucky girl I am quite a few of my friends do and I have borrowed. I didn't want to give it back! Even though it was not made for me (they are built to order from what ever measurments you give them :)it was super comfey and it moved reallly nice (it was a midriff cut, with persian drape sleaves in a purple velvet ) -

Re: Beledi dress?
Sat, March 1, 2008 - 5:41 AMI have a friend here with one. It's gorgeous!
A L Rose Beledi dress will be my next present to myself. As soon as I've lost enough weight to get back into my Turkish bronze bedleh, I'm getting a (big breath, a la Christmas Story here): Forest Green, stretch velvet, cut to waist, with deluxe trumpet skirt with chiffon gores and a slit.
So there. I'm dreamin' big (or very small!) today.

Re: Beledi dress?
Sat, March 1, 2008 - 7:32 AMI have one in red..pick is posted in this tribe.
I love it... I have the persian sleeves... they are so pretty.. it makes you want to play with them. there is the soft sheer fabric and then the strip of the velvet. The system they have for measurments works.. I just measured as she said and it is perfect.. like they stood right there and sewn it on me.
I am going back and forth as to what costume and what to dance to at Rakassah.. it might be the L Rose dress...
