Hello Fellow Tribers:
I am on over 30 Tribes and only a couple of them have a post here or there. Is Tribe.net a dieing social network? There seems to be more activity on MySpace and YahooGroups.
If it weren't for the spammers, AdSense, and MLM offers there would be no activity in most tribes....
I would love to see some meaningful conversations here... Am I the only one?
I would love to hear some feedback.... Let’s get some topics rolling... is there anyone out there who has a question, or struggle or an idea that they want to get some feedback on?
I look forward to chatting with you all soon.
Sincerely,
Philip A. Foster, MA

Re: No Conversations.... Is this Microphone on?
Thu, September 7, 2006 - 8:51 AMI have the same problem. However, I think a lot of the tribes I've joined are around criteria with a limited amount of new information (such as the OS9 tribe).
Perhaps one of the reasons this tribe is so quiet is that most people are looking to learn, but few are looking to teach. Without a basic foundation - which usually needs to be self-taught - people probably don't know what questions to ask.
Of course, that's just my opinion. -

Re: No Conversations.... Is this Microphone on?
Thu, September 7, 2006 - 9:06 PMHi There, it's Hope in Seattle,
my two cents: I have found it kind of difficult to navigate tribe- I think that's part of the reason I havn't been on for a long time. Also it's tough to keep track of all these different conversations in different tribes, however I'm giving it another round, had a couple good discussions already. however it is tricky to figure out what people even want to talk about, then sometimes things get mis-interpreted or people are just so darn opinionated and ready to shoot you down asap.
Especially on the topic of MONEY!!!! (Money is supposed to be EVIL, right? :) well, here in Making Money we know that's ---WRONG!)
***I've found that almost all of my alternative friends are not interested in Making Money.
What about ya'll? Any really cool alternative groups that are into wealth that I can learn about/participate in?***
I'm breaking down my "money veneer" and learning to be comfortable with the sales process.
Any tips from anyone on how to be more comfortable in asking for the sale? -

Fri, September 8, 2006 - 4:57 AMHope:
Welcome to the group - like with anything new... Tribe does take some getting used to. I hope you stick around for a very long time ahead.
Hope brought up some great comments... I hope that we can create a welcoming front here. We are all here to help each other and to learn from each other.
Hope - what kind of business are you in... do you work for yourself or someone else?
Philip
