Re: male images harder to find
Tue, September 6, 2005 - 6:15 PMSometime back I was at a Renaissance faire and saw one of those beautiful peuter faeries with stained glass wings. I commented to my friend that I seldom saw a male faery. He said "You're an artist. Why don't you do some." So I've been scanning insect wings from books and adding them to a digital collection to be turned into faeries with other photographs of friends all Photoshopped together. I found this Tribe while still looking for male faeries. I also have a THING for Pan. I'll add that to the photo archives as soon as I send this. Thanks for this tribe.

Re: male images harder to find
Tue, September 6, 2005 - 6:43 PMI started a collection of male faeries with a series of Cecily Mary Barker designs. There's a site with all of the available figures at:

Re: male images harder to find
Sun, October 30, 2005 - 1:58 PMMany of you may already have some of these links but here goes.
www.the-crazed.com/gallery_color.html Some male facial images.
shop.deviantart.com/ website with tons of artists. Have to search through their inventory but many fantasy male images as well as other male images.
elfwood.lysator.liu.se/ Entrance to a huge collection of online artists, professional and amateur. Some have prints available at deviant art as well as other sites.
elfwood.lysator.liu.se/art/j/...bw.html Artist at Elfwood with some nice male images, also available thru cafepress.
I look forward to seeing more interaction on this site. Male images are indeed very difficult to find in fantasy art. I've noticed too that even statuary is difficult. I bought a gargoyle table from Design Toscano, and while the gargoyle is great, I was a bit upset that he arrived sans fig leaf and no genitals. What is it with commercial artists that they can't portray males AS male? I don't get it.

Re: male images harder to find
Fri, November 4, 2005 - 8:01 PMThere is a large print I purchased, posted on my blog pages. The print is by Eric Martin and I purchased the print from CafePress, He is an artist on Elfwood. I haven't found the same print, Wood Elf on CafePress again so he may have removed it. However, I have corresponded with him in the past and he may be willing to sell further prints. Just click on my Icon to take you to my bio page, then click on The Dragon's Tome to see the print.
Cheers, Drake
