I was referred to this lecture by a friend. It's long but very worth listening to. So far, I've heard 1/3 of it and I intend to listen to the rest tomorrow night. It's a very clear speech on how the Federal Reserve got created, what it actually is, and its effect on us!

Re: History of the Federal Reserve--an Eye Opener
Thu, October 19, 2006 - 11:21 AMThank you for posting this.
It's very important for Americans to understand
what money is, how it gets created and that the
FED is not a government agency.
One of my favorite books-- and a very eye-opening one--
is "The Future of Money" by Bernard Lietear.
He knows what he's taking about. He was a central bank
officer in Belgium.
Get this: Money is not scarce. Scarcity is an artificial creation
of the FED and IRS. Not only that, but there are alternatives
to currency.
