Prayer and polytheism

How many of the folks here use prayer as a spiritual tool on a regular basis?

Personally, I'm a big fan of prayer.

I got in to polytheism to a greater degree through the use of experimental prayer.

Experimental prayer is what it sounds like. I don't know whether a deity exists or not. (In some cases, I really thought it did not... certainly not in the way I found it.) However, I do have a goal in mind, should such a deity exist, and I pray... and things happen. In some cases really strange things happen.

I've actually formed a new tribe specifically to share experiences relating to non-traditional prayer. It is called "Prayer Works!"

From the tribe intro: Prayer Works! is a tribe promoting non-traditional prayer. Specifically prayer relating to atheist, agnostic, pantheist and polytheist spiritual approaches. (Whether or not they are approaches formalized in to doctrine.) ...

Blessings,
Steven

I pray in various way, mostly by begging and cajoling the gods.

My prayer life is very crass, but it seems to work.

I like the experimental prayer aspect you mention.
Had similar results. Prayer has seemed to be
pretty powerful when I knew exactly what I wanted
and exactly what I was going for.

A lot of times I can't pray too effectively because
    I don't really know what I want.
