Little bit about Miss Love:

Mardi took lessons first in San Diego with a cabaret teacher who's name I can't remember right now (!). I'll try to remember to ask Mardi about her and let you know.

Later she joined up with Heather Stants and Urban Tribal and together they changed the dance form as we know it. A few years later (2004) Mardi moved the the Bay Area and we became friends and started dancing together with Bellydance Superstars and The Indigo.

Mardi is a true visionary. Her dance style comes from her highly developed sense of aesthetics. I've never seen a mind like hers before, she can just pull ideas out of thin air. She's truly an original and does it all for the right reasons: to enjoy making things. She is incredibly shy and has a bit of a hard time with all the compliments and attention that come with being a performer.

What else can I say about Mardi? Hmmmmm. I admire her to no end. I've never met anyone who loves little chickens and little old lead toys so much, and she can make the most amazing lavender truffles I've ever had.
