Belly Dance Costuming Making Workshops

Julianna’s Wardrobe will be having a series of costume-making workshops starting in January 2008.

The current workshops include: Harem Pants (Jan 19)
Flare Leg Pants (Feb 2),
Making Costume Accessories (Feb 16)
Costume Fitting (Mar 8)
Theatrical Makeup for the Dancer (Mar 29) and
Silk Veil Dying (Apr 26).
All classes are held in Denver and last for four hours, long enough that you should be able to finish your project during class. If you don’t have a sewing machine, don’t worry, Julianna’s Wardrobe provides them. There will also be a six week basic sewing class if you want to become more proficient with your sewing skills.

Other classes in the works are: How to Pick the Perfect Fabric, Stretch Choli, Bra Covering, Cabaret Bra & Belt Set, Tribal Style Belts, UFOs (Unfinished Objects, get help in finishing them).

Julianna has worked for over 15 years as a professional costumer traveling around the USA to professional theatres and dance companies and holds her MFA in theatrical costuming from University of Texas, Austin. Julianna is also a certified Home Sewing Association Trained Sewing Educator. Julianna has been belly dancing for almost 10 years and understands the unique costume needs of the dancer.
