After years, and I do mean years, of serious thought, I finally started a professional bellydance company. After a year of false starts, and some dissapointments and sadness, I have finally got together a lovely company.
I am honored and pleased to work with 4 wonderful women, all strong, intelligent, beautiful, smart women.
Jawahir, Joanne, Jennifer and Jen.
I have 5 women in the company now, including myself.
I am not holding any more auditions for members for at least a year or so. We meet once a week for 1 1/2 hours, and these ladies work hard!
We don't goof around in rehearsals! These ladies are up to the task.
We have performed as a trio, myself, Jawahir and Joanne, and now we are - all five of us - ready to perform a cane piece and an unbellievalbe rockin' drum solo, which was inspired by Suhaila.
About our company: I am troupe director, choreographer, Joanne is our lovely company treasurer, my dear mentor, carole ie, and her wonderful non-profit, Initiatives for Creativity and Peace, is my mentor, rock, and a lovely and wonderful friend, Jen is our note-taker.....

I formed this company to bring to the public beautiful, fun, artistic, real bellydance, and dance performances.

Wew will be debuting our company as a whole with our cane and drum solo pieces at the Boulder Creek Festival. Sunday May 27th, 12:45 p.m.

We will also all be doing short solos.

I hope to have some video up soon of our performances, and some of my solos up on you tube or google video or some such shortly.
I have lots of video of me, but it is all crappy! Most of it taken by people who are amateurs, and/or the lighting is horrendous, or some such.
